That shift plate looks gorgeous, wish I could do that without going to a pro chromer. One advantage of having a '99, I guess!

What would the model year have anything to do with it??? and isnt the bezel plastic?? I didint know you could get plastic chromed and for five bucks thats a deal it looks great???? where can I get mine done? 99 if it matters

One of the reason why I would guess is that the shift plate was made in the very similar process as the Japanese spec shift plate back in 99. The only difference is they have reverse pattern.
Later on the TL got 5spd tranny, so they build the plate with a different process while the Japanese still use the same shift plate so, they have no D4 or D3 I think..
