Review from editors of Auto World Magazine in their "Best of 2002" issue. The review is nothing we don't know...but still nice to read and could be helpful to others thinking of buying a TL.

"But one of our genuine favorite cars happens to reside in this category, the Acura 3.2TL. Based on the Honda Accord, it feels less like an Accord than the ES300 feels like a Camry. That's especially true for the 3.2TL's 260hp Type S version, which has improved performance over the regular 225 HP TL. Besides the added HP from the 3.2 liter V6, the Type S gets firmer suspension and 17 inch performance tires on alloy wheels. The TL is slightly longer than the Accord (2 inches extra wheelbase length) but has a distinctive silhouette. New styling of the car's nose sets off the 02 model. Either version of the TL will surprise you in how much it delivers at a price just over $30K for a regular TL with Acura's excellent satellite linked navigation system, to about $34K for a Type S with a nav system. Even the least expensive TL gives you a good stereo, antilock disc brakes, side airbags, leather trimmed interior, a sunroof, and a host of other features, including two position memory adjustment for the driver's seat and mirrors. It's so well equipped, in fact, a touchscreen DVD nav system is the only option. Handling is crips, the ride smooth and quiet (even more quiet for the 02 models, thanks to some additional sound deadening insulation), and the interior is comfortable for adults, even in the back seat. There are cars in this category that will give you better performance, and cars that will give you more luxury, but for our money, none that will give you such a salient combination of the two as the Acura 3.2TL....Steven Cole Smith"
