"Beep" on Entry

Anyone know what causes a beeping when you open the door and get in the car? My 2003 TL-p will sometimes give a short beep, a short pause, then two more short beeps when you open the door and get in. It does not do this all the time, only intermittently. Anyone know what this is or what is causing it??? Thanks, Rick

You are pressing something on the remote and its causing the your seat to adjust from positoin "1" to position "2" or vise-versa. If you look on the back of your remotes you will see that it shows two different numbers (1 and 2) for two different drivers. The manual covers that more in detail.

Sounds like your power seat memory settings. Did you adjust the seats before you arm the car?

You must have adjust the seat during the time when you were driving.... when you approach your car and open up the door... the first beep means that the seat is going to its preset position(either Memory 1 or Memory 2 depends on which Key Fob you used)... once it's in the preset position, the 2 beep sound confirms that it's now at your preset position....

it's normal...
