Beautiful exhaust tips from Tim!

Folks,

First of all, thanks to Tim for excellent service!

Got my exhaust tips i ordered here from Tim!! These ones are much better in quality than the ones that came with the car. The difference is night and day. These ones are much much heavier gauge of stainless steel, they have 2 bolts on top and 1 on the bottom and are also washered, so they'll be a heck of a lot easier to remove if needed.

Damn, those stock ones, open up a can of tomatoes, punch a hole in the bottom, remove the label off the cans, and voila.....stock tips.

Oh, btw, Tim, thanks for the "www.acura-tl.com" sticker. It's on my chrome plate holder and it looks perfect...

Do you noticed that one side is lower than the other? I checked many times and both the tips are flused to the back of the muffler can.

Same here, very subtle but a definite improvement.

Yeah, what i did was use thick plastic "tie wraps" to pull them up to the muffler hooks, close to the bumpers. Also, since i pushed the tips all the way back to the mufflers, i noticed that the muffler walls arent straight at all, meaning, it's uneven. This meant that on one side, the tips dont touch the muffler all the way, a bit of a gap but it's hardly noticeable and certainly is much better than the stock tips.

One thing....BE CAREFUL about turning the bolts too tight!! You'll strip em easy if you do so. As soon as they feel tight, that's it. They'll hold tight on the pipe then.

Great service. They came the exact day they were supposed to. I hurried and put them on before they got dark, now I just have to wait for my new computer to come in (I wish that service was as good as Tim's). On my DWP TLS without underbody kit, they look great. They may stick out an inch past the bottom part of the bumper. Mean looking, without looking like Rice. I agree that the cans may not be even, because I think the driver side pipe sticks out... a 1/8th inch or so more than the passenger side (ok, so I am picky ). I'll just pull the passenger side back until they are even. I'll post pics when I can... hopefully within a week.
