and if you think the fwd a4 1.8 will smoke a tl you have lost your mind, stock for stock you are toast, essentially they go for the same price with matching options but the audi doesn't come with navi for 33, and the 03 tl did
then again if you would like to compare the new 04 tl to the quattro 1.8 again be my guest, the tl is cheaper with more options and in a six speed v six speed would be nothing more than a driver's race

This guy is a moron! Even a chipped A4 would lose to a TLS (unless its the x-chip, which is a little more aggressive). A 1.8t GTI with a chip would be a pretty good race against a stock TLS because of how light the car is. A jetta is pretty much an A4 so the TLS would still beat it. Now if/when you start adding turbo upgrades for the audis/VWs then its a completely different story (although a TCed CLS6 could defintely hang.
