Bentley

I was on a local road on my way home and noticed some weird looking car coming up behind me. The headlights were on, so I didn't get a good look at the bodystyle. I come to a redlight and the feller pulls up to me. A Bentley . Last time I saw a new one was when I took a trip to Monte Carlo.

Anyhow, I felt a little giddy tonight so I rolled down the window. I waved to him and the guy did the same. I asked him if he wanted to race, expecting him to say no. To my surprise, he said "sure". Light turns green, we go.

He gets the jump on me and in about a second, I'm even with his taillights. We both slowed down as we came to the next light, but it was still green. Kinda funny as we simultaneously hit the gas :p . He was ahead of me the whole time, and pulling further away. We finally hit a yellow and we slow. At the red, I chatted with him and he told me he just got the "baby" shipped to him from GB two weeks ago. He told me it was an '02 Arnage T, cost him $200K plus shipping .

Anyhow, it was a fun race, just wanted to share. Can't believe I got to race a $200K car, lol.

 

And where in the bay area is this? Sounds like a cool guy with tons of $$$ to burn.

 

i wouldnt mind getting beat by a bently.
smoke coming out of the exhaust probably cost like 30k rite there.

 

Blackhawk/Danville

 

The Bentley may be a behemoth of a car, but it's still pushing about 420 hp and 650 ft-lbs or torque. I'd lose to one anyday

 

some Bentleys are 5 second cars, despite their weight. I think T in the Arnage T stands for Turbo.

 

hehe, I couldn't believe it myself. I've always thought of those massive cars as more prestige than anything. But whaddya know, they can pull their own weight...literally!

 

Dang ... most of the rich dudes live in Danville area. Everytime I pass by along I-680, I would see at least one expensive sport car pass by.

 

Well most of the rich folk live in Blackhawk, which is still part of Danville even though they'd rather not be

And BTW, THE richest folks live in Monte Carlo. My oh my, never seen such a collection of fine automobiles in my entire life.

 

Man what if he wrecked his ride while racing you. That would be funny
