Battery Change

The battery went dead in my 2000 Acura TL. When the mechanic changed the battery and put the new one in the car would not start. He did something with the key and the car started. Driving away from the shop the car starts bucking. Car is now parked.

Is there a sequence to reconnecting the battery that updates all the codes the car requires? Help???

No, just install the new battery- no secret tricks to make the car run

Was the new battery fully or as much as possible charged
Were you trying to run massive stereo and lights with just installed battery?
They arent really full when new and need 30 minutes of driving to fully charge
The car runs off the battery- the alternatore recharges it
Have both tested for performance- could have been a defect battery
Do you have a friend to help jumpstart the car?
Any parts store will test for free if you can get there

The ECU brains does reset itself when battery disconned more than 5-15 minutes but will just relearn how you drive and how the engine is running

The radio unit wants a code to restore it too- did you have that at least?

MK what do you think???
