Ballast problem
Ballast problem
Help! A few weeks ago, my driver side light started randomly turning off and on. And when it would come back on, it seems like it was struggling to get past the initial blue spectrum that the light starts out at.
Without having gone here first, I foolishly spent 40$ on a new bulb. After that didn't work, i did a few searches and concluded that it was the igniter. I had though that it was the ballast / inverter at first but someone told me that if it were that, the light would completely go out all together. Well, now after spending a good 100$ on the igniter and wasting my time installing it (of course Acura won't accept electrical parts back, which is another issue), I think I have concluded it is the ballast.
My question to you is 1. Do you think it's the ballast that I should replace? and 2. How do I replace the ballast (hopefully without needing to take the bumber off)
Thank You!

yea u have to take out the bumper. and the water can get in regardless if you have a leak somewhere

people..people.....your car has two bulbs....instead of rushing off to buy a new bulb. just switch it with the other bulb to see if its a bulb issue or a ballast issue. narrow down the problem by swithcing out parts from the passenger side.
