remove bumper:
- remove 4 clips under the bumper
- remove 2 screws on each side
- remove 2 screws where the bumper and fender meet
- remove 2 more clips on top of grill

you'll see a black bracket right under the headlight, there are 3 golden 10mm bolts.. 1 on the side and 2 near the middle of the headlight on the underside.

unplug connectors to turn signal/parking light, high beam, and ballast

ballast is located under the bottom of the headlight casing.. use a philips screwdriver and take the 3 screws out.. unplug the igniter connection.. done

You make it sound easy! I've got this same repair to do this week. Thanks for the info.

The screw on each side where the fender and bumper meet are located on the inner edge of the wheel well, on the foreward-most side. Also, there is a clip along the seam of the bumper cover and fender between the lights and the wheel, which helps hold the bumper cover in place. You will have to pull pretty hard to get the bumper cover loose from the clip, but that shouldn't damage the clip in any way.

I was thinking of taking mine out when I put the replacements in, but I guess if it requires all that, I'll just leave 'em in.

Mesizoracer310, it's not as hard as it sounds. I've taken my front bumper off 3 times in the past month trying to figure out what is going on with my lights/ballast. 30 minutes tops to remove the bumper and unmount the lights that's if your screws and clips aren't stubborn.

one thing to add... you also have to remove that cowl piece under the hood at the front of the car, easy to remove... pop out the middle of the clips with a scew driver and pull the whoel clip out. there are 2 smaller ones that you will need a smaller screw driver to get the middle to pop out. to remove the front bumper and headlights, 30 mins tops, and thats with taking your time. if you have the aspec lip kit, make sure your removing the correct screws under the car (theres only 2 that hold the bumper from under, closer to the sides) and same thing with these clips, pop the middle out with a screwdriver and then pull the whole clip out... dont forget to remove the 2 clips at the top of the grill, i almost forgot and almost damaged my grill
