Ball Joints....again

Well this is the forth time in 12,000 miles that I am bringing my car in for ball joint problems....Usually it is a small noise coming from front end of the car when I go over bumps or turn the wheel.....usually they just lubricate it because the knuckle isn't broke.....This time it must be broke because the noise is horrible and my allignment is shot......I really hope that they fix it permanantly this time and acually replace some parts and not give me a BS answer about knuckles that aren't broken....In the mean time I driving my girl's TSX which has no balls and I'm pissed that I'm with out my car again.....>>>

I just needed to vent a little......

Well if you have had problems in the past and they didnt replace teh ball joints and just lubed them i would complain. The knuckle doesnt ned to be broke to replace teh balljoint. If the ball joint is worn they need to replace it, not lub it.

Had my balljoints replaced at 6, 300 Kilometres . ( don't know what that is in miles). I was so suprised by this I went to the managers office for his story . He told me that my balljoints had too much play in them and that they had a problem with bad joints and my car was not the only one. There was no noise coming from them . Press for new parts and get loud at the Reg. manager.

I just had mine replaced at sears for about $150 per side. Just did one side since that is where the problem was. I was out of warranty.

If you have Tien SS installed on your car, will the dealership still honor the warranty and replace my ball joints(i may have this problem)>Or should I return my car to stock before i bring it in............Thanks in Advance

Just wanna give you guys an update:

Went to the dealer to pick up the car....

They replaced both knuckles and bearings, replaced both lower ball joints, and did a wheel alignment...total cost was 1046.15, all covered by warranty..

The car is riding great now, i'm very happy with the service.

Tough call. Lowering will put more stress on those so they may not be as inclined to replace them. I would like to know how some of you wear them out so fast though. I beat my car and im still on the originals.
