Bad trunk alarm sensor

I think the trunck sensor for the car's alarm system is bad. The alarm goes off at random times when my wife tries to open the trunk with the remote.

Is this something that I can replace? If so, where is the sensor located?

Thanks!

There isn't any sensor at the trunk it is related to the light mechanism in the trunk itself..

Solution 1: Soak in WD-40 the release mechanism in the trunk and close it and open it a few times.

Solution2: Instead of pushing the trunk button first.. Try to remove the alarm first then open the trunk.. Ill guarantee you it wont go off anymore.
