bad tranny?

everynow and then.

i shift from park to reverse and i hear this really dry loud schaffing clunk. it sounds REALLY nasty.

grinding the clutch?

yeah it should be your tranny....your tranny could prolly be mested up and gonna have to get a new one

automatic cars dont have a clutch, they have a torque converter with multiple clutches. most cars make a clunking noise when you shift into reverse (hondas, at least)
