Bad F'ing Weekend
So I went home Friday for a big festival we have every year. Everyone I went to school with comes back to town during this weekend and we party at a couple local bars. I got out around 11pm and drank 5 beers between 11 and 3, then I waited a little over an hour before getting in my car and leaving. I got a few miles down the road, turned onto the highway and hit the gas. Then I saw them...the damn flashing cherries! Dude clocked me from about a mile away going 74 downhill. He got up to my window, gave me the "have you been drinkin'?", I told him yeah. He took me to his cruiser and gave me a PBT and I blew a .076. I thought I was good, I didn't even feel a slight buzz and I was driving perfectly...just too fast for him. He took me to the station where I blew exactly a .08. My girl was in town and we had gotten a hotel room, but she ended up having the room to herself while I shared a cold floor with 2 dirty ass dudes. The prosecutor said that I had been arrested for DUI before in Bloomington, IN, which I haden't. Turned out someone with the same name was taken in for DUI, drugs and theft. Anyway, I gave the prosecutor a call at her house and she is going to help me out by asking the judge to accept reckless driving, WHEW .

ya, shouldn't the blood-alcohol level be lower after time? I think that Officer is trying to do anything he can to make your life hell. Fight back. Do you have a suspended license, or did they impound your car or anything?

...but according to the OP, he waited an hour before driving so that probably isn't the reason for the two different readings

I don't know why 2 diff. readings, the officer said I was on the way down. Nothing happened to my TL, my gf drove it back to the hotel. The deputy wasn't being an ass, I grew up across the street from him and his kid. I was hoping that only being .08 and active duty military, he'd just drive my ass home...but nope. If I had been pulled over by any other cop in the area I'd have been driving back to the hotel, I was on the Sheriff's Dept in the next county for 3 years so I knew most of them. Oh well, I'll take the reckless driving fine.
