Bad Brake Booster

Anyone have their brake booster go out?? I took my 01 tl (43k miles) into Acura for the tranny jet kit, brake fluid flush, and check brake vibration. Since I picked up my car in Dec, the brakes cause a shake at higher speeds. I've heard about the rotors on the 01's having issues, so I figured they'd check em under warranty. Anyway, they told me they'd turn rotors and do the labor under warranty, but I needed to supply the pads. No big deal. Later they call me back and say that apparently my brake booster is leaking air. They are replacing it under warranty too. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem. and if anyone knows how this may have happened.

btw, they loaned me an 04 TSX...not what I thought it might be.....sluggish, don't buy one of these without a 6sp....or at all IMO.

I had my brake booster go bad at like 22k miles or so on my '03 TL-S. It was making a hissing noise when the brake pedal was released.

Replaced under warranty.

So, besides the unrelated shaking at high speeds due to your rotors, what makes you think you have a bad booster?

He didnt know he needed or had a bad booster. He is posting what the dealer told him.

Havent really heard of this being any sort of widespread problem. Seems like isolated incidents.
