To be honest i am not sure what type of glue i'll use since i haven't done it yet. I am thinking of something that's strong enough but won't burn the plastic and not dissolve in water... guess I'll check out Walmart/etc later today or tomorrow. If I find something good I'll post here.

ohhh! i just re-read his post and i get it now... gah musta been too tired last night.

haha if that's it then... mine's not falling of yet :P and I wouldn't glue that myself if i were you. You wouldn't know what might happen to your paint when the glue lands on it.

That looks like my door panel, but mine in black and just the back doors. I was thinking about glueing them back on, but don't know what type of glue to use and wasn't sure if I would hurt anything inside the panel if the glue got inside. (ie) wiring, screws, etc. Anybody fixed this problem on their ride?

definitely a common problem, according to the dealership. they just replaced the entire unit (leather handle/armrest) on both backdoors. it's covered under warranty.

That's great under warranty. Which warranty the 40k or whatever the original warranty is for the car?

I'm calling the dealer on Monday and see if I can either get them fixed or replaced under warranty. Wish me luck.

I have this on 2 doors.. Drivers and rear pass... I fixed the drivers, it was not too bad, but the other one is just fucked... NO GLUE is working... its eating the shit out of the foam and not adhering to the rubber properly... if anyone figures it out, let me know.

Also, the dealer told me to go fuck myself because Acura Care (the certified warranty) would not cover it. Fuckers.

Darkshear,

Are you out of warranty, is that why they refused to repair/replace it? Thanks

I got the car used, but certified. I was past the factory 50,000 mile warranty, but not past the 100,000 certified warranty. the certified warranty was the one that would not cover it. Factory warranty will cover it tho.

I just recently had to replace my passenger rear armrest...had the same problem you are mentioning. Although I purchased the car as certified only 3 weeks ago, the dealer would not cover the costs under any warranty. I think it cost me about $220 for parts and labor to replace the part. The dealership told me that glue would not fix the problem.

you cannot glue it back. the only way to fix it is to replace the entire panel.
i got mine off ebay for $40. you just need to keep looking...

Took the car in for shock and spring replacement and decided to question the warranty of the back panels. Guess what i'm covered , so instead for getting my car back this afternoon, I get it back tomorrow. So I get to play around with the TSX rental for a little while longer. They didn't say if they were replacing it or not, will keep you guys informed of what happens.
