My girlfriend and I got back from vacation last night. I was as happy as a gay cowboy to be away from this crappy New England weather, but that's not why I'm writing this post.

We rented a Chevy Malibu Maxx and all I can say is I suspect GM will be out of business shortly. We should all be thankful that we own TL's. This brand new 2006 car with 6K on it was much looser feeling than my 03 with 76K on it (yes, you read that correctly - I put on a lot of miles). Also, it was the ugliest piece of engineering this side of the AMC Pacer (remember that one?). I mean the car was okay as a rental, but I would never get near buying one of them. Sadly, it seems we're just pathetic when it comes to making cars (with maybe a few exceptions).

Anywho, Happy New Year to y'all. I know the mods will probably move this to Ramblings, but who ever reads that stuff anyway?

Welcome back. Thanks for sharing your experience with another car. Sometimes you never know what you have until you have something else.

 

I agree, ever time I rent a car I'm glad I own the TL . I even rented a g35 and a maxima and I was glad I was going home to the TL. Worst car I ever rented was '02 chryster sebring, that car sucked.

 

I wish I could move it ... but since the site revamp, no one can move a post to another section of AZ (ie TL <-> Off-Topic). Instead, gonna close this one. Feel free to repost (cut & paste) to keep the thread alive.
