Rather than taking them off an painting them or applying vinyl, what do you guys think of the aftermarket overlays such as this on ebay that just tape on?

Any other sources of these that are more cost effective?

 

That looks like a good idea, I was thinking about painting them again but this might be better, but the price is whats making me not do this.

 

yeah, i was thinking of getting those but the price is a little steep. I painted mine but didnt come out as nice as those.

its prolly better off just getting these and not have to repaint them

 

I agree these look good price is a bit expezz, but I guees you get what you pay far. I hope this is a really HEAVY duty vinyl overlay that can withstand winter, salt and all that other shitty elements!

 

Unless they are really thin...I think they'd look tacky. I would paint or do vinyl...

Ive got carbon fiber overlays on mine

 

how much would you charge for black overlays blue batmobile? my stock ones are nasty and i don't feel like painting or paying anyone to fix it for me.

 

Ive seen bats work with overlays on the 3rd gen and they are very well made.

Id definatly buy them from you if you find a 2nd gen so u can make them.

 

Might be going carbon fiber, Di-noc later this week...

Regarding the ebay link above, I went through recent purchases of the overlays on Ebay and found two TL purchases. I emailed both buyers and heard back from one. Unfortunately, he said his looked terrible and thought they were a waste; so, I'm tossed at the moment.

Yeah, I get a lot of compliments on them. They match my wheels haha

 

CF pillars to me only look good on darker colors or gray colored. Looks like ish on a white one.
