average turn-around for tranny swap?

#3 tranny went out on the 28th of august and i had it back on the 8th of sept.
#4 was making a weird noise (like a flat tire) so i dropped it off on the 10th and am still waiting they told me maybe the end of this week or beginning of next.THIS SUCKS!!!!!

Interesting, my 1st tranny took 4 days and the second, 2. I guess it depends on availiability.

oh ya and they average 3 tranny jobs a week

yields2S, are you saying that you've had your tranny replace 4 times?? Cuz I mean, if thas the case wait another month and half and pursue the Lemon Law, and possibly get yourself the 04 TL... go for it!!! Sorry u had to go through all this though, but it might turn out to be worth it at the end.... its like the Lotto... Hey You Never Know!

no, the tranny I'm waiting for now will be the 4th tranny to be in my car. I am including the original one. Is that right?

LUCK? I don't think luck has anything to do with it ... It's a known problem and when I see post's like this about people having this many transmission's replaced.. like it's getting an oil change... blow's my mind~

i had my first tranny replaced by the next day the 2nd took 3 cause they had to order one

Mine took 5 days but three of it was waiting on the parts--specifically the new computer module...
It was worth it, though!
