AV6 Questions

I've got a 2002 TL Type S, love it, bought it off my dad for $600, but slowly but surely, with 260k km on the odometer, the transmission is starting to go on me, to the point that 4th and 5th are horrendous to drive in, and the tranny is showing signs of slipping. List goes on and on, and I'm hoping it doesn't grenade on me before I get the chance to get a replacement transmission. Anyways, I've found a transmission

This is the transmission I've found, but I don't know if the VIN M 5th digit is an issue in terms of compatibility and I can't find any information regarding.

I was also poking around looking for a replacement torque converter for it, in case the one in the new trans is shot, and happened across this lube correction kit, was wondering if using this was required, recommended, user preference, or not recommended.

Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance.

If you go with BAYA Transmission , use the TC that comes with it per instructions. Don't think you will know if TC Is bad until you run it.

I mean, it depends. I was just looking to see pricing, but instructions do say either use the TC that's already in the tranny OR get a new TC for that tranny.

Not that I'm disagreeing, and it *should* be fine with 160k on it, but you never know.

You have the correct 'VIN M 5th digit' search criteria (green below)
It's the 'VIN N 5 digit, hybrid' you do not want (red).

Outstanding, thank you. Any idea on the lube correction kit? Largely irrelevant, I take it, as I haven't seen mention in any of the other posts I've been checking, but figured I'd verify.

Though not positive, it appears to be irrelevant to your cause.
It would only be relevant if you were rebuilding since those components appear internal to the trans?
