automatic turbo???

hey guys, this is my first post. i have a 99 tl and i saw automatic turbo 99 tl yesterday and i was wondering how this was possible on stock internals. any ideas if it can be done on stock

it can be done with low boost. less than 10 psi.

The engine can handle it of course. It's your glass tranny I'd worry about...

Yeah, even though the '99 with the 4 speed AT is a bit tougher, ya gotta remember that the tranny is weakening as it grows older by the day.

If ya really wanna do the turbo or a supercharger, consider replacing the tranny with a 6 speed stick for better response and durability.

I am curious about this topic as well. There is a lot of Qs being asked about supercharger and turbo "possible builds", but I don't seem to find any functioning cars thave have FI.

I would like to know what kind of 1/4 mile numbers people with comptech s/c and custom turbo set-ups run. I found an old thread (fastest 2gs or something similar) that said that A/T TL-S with full bolt-ons and comptech s/c went 14.1...which is rather sad result for so much money spent.

With a standalone so you can tune it the stock internals will handle much more Largest problem is tuning this car. Without it it wont last with much boost.

I'm just saving up now so I can get that AEM standalone plus the trans parts etc. situations like this I sure wish I made more money lol.
