Auto power window up
Hey,
I know this has been discussed here before and i DID do a search but couldn't find what i was looking for (probably related to the usage of wrong keywords, oh well).
My driver side windows goes auto down just fine, auto up doesn't work and i heard from another TL owner that it should go up automatically as well, even in a 99 like mine.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have a 99 too. I found a thread saying that if you turn key to II, close the window all the way up then hold for 5 sec. This should enable the auto-up feature. But it did't work on my TL. So I guess this feature doesn't apply to 99s

LOL.. true true.
On the other hand, i just had a talk with my dealer and they'll fix the problem next week.. so apparently, unless my service manager has no clue at all, it SHOULD have an auto-up

I had no idea that the passenger window has the potential for auto up on the 99 models. I know that when i activate auto down it clicks down and goes automatically but there is no click for going up so I'd figure it didn't have it. I remember on my last car (97 Toyota Corolla), it had an auto down for passenger but no auto up, it felt the same as my TL.

Would it be possible to replace the window switches on a '99 with switches that do have the auto up feature? I've been thinking about this, but if someone knows off the bat, that'd be great.

Note: if you turn the engine off and forgot to raise the windows or close the sunroof, you still have approx 10 mins to do so without having to turn the ignition key back to On. Just read the manual and found out about this little trick...

I believe that if the window has auto up feature, the window must have a sensor to reverse the window if a finger or something gets caught in the window. that is why your Toyota had auto down and not up.
I think Honda is trying to save money by only having it on the driver side window
