Do you guys use this? Does it wear the ballasts, bulb and battery out faster?

I have owned my 2k TL for over four years now and am ready to trade it in. I have NEVER turned the lights off and they look like new. The xenons are supposed to last >100k miles of normal use.

no, I only use my lights at night time when they're needed, thats what the DRL's are used for here in Canada.

However, I'm not one of those psycho ppl who worries about their HID's...if they burn out, then the fucking dealer can replace it for me, period!!!

Some people should stop worrying, and just drive the damn car. I used to worry about the car, and I found that ever since I stopped worrying, my problems with the car have mysteriously vanished, and now the car runs like a dream!! I love the TL's.

Ok it works like this. When you are done driving (with the lights on) turn off the ignition. The car will make the headlights on chime noise. Ignore it. Use the keyless entry, and the doors will lock, and after 30 seconds or something the HIDS will turn off.

When you get back to your car, and unlock it with the keyless entry, the HIDS will turn back on.

Thats what people are talking about.

check the owners's manual. Lot of good stuff in there.

It turns off after 15 seconds, not 30.

I've never bothered to change the default but I think you can adjust it from 15-120 seconds.
