audio enthusiests...9 in. sub

i have finally found a nine inch sub for our cars if u want a quality sub that fits/replaces the stock sub go to this site. http://www.morelhifi.com/products/mo...tesw.html#SPEC
these are pricey but quality. they need no enclosure (free air sub) perfect for our cars. also good for weight concious drivers and those that like to use their trunks. please dont move this thread until many have had the chance to see it
thanks

looks like the depth is 2.8" it might not fit the tl w/o mod to the trunk spring

ive measured the area and it looks to be about 2 in. in depth in the trunk, on the other hand u can install a spacer to raise the sub about 1/2 in. appx. to get that last 1/4 in. u can cut the stock sub grill ( install a larger spacer), remove the frame/grill itself or have an audio shop make a custom grill. then u retain the use of your trunk

I though it's just a plug and play. I really don't want to modify the stock grille. But post some pics anyway after you're done. Just to give us some ideas on how it looks like.

I need all the trunk space i can get because I play hockey, but I can still manage with a 12" sub and box in my trunk. It's not too spacey.

i wish it was plug and play but our car is not that exclusive. these subs were designed for many stock applications (universal) in mind. not guaranteed to fit all vehicles. as far as the grill goes....its just plastic. id rather have the grill modded than have a 75lb. box floating in my trunk. ive had a massive sound sound system in the past......lighter weight and performance do it for me know

well i have had mine out and have measured closer to 3 inches. it all depends on where you measure. you can also build it up some under teh speaker cover with minimal trimming. you can also relocate the torsion bracket slightly to get more room
i have a 2nd gen

cause not every one can spare the trunk space. i cant. at any given time i have 3 sets of golf clubs in the trunk or up to 5 crates of work, or lots of luggage (having a GF and a kid tends to eat up trunk space on the weekend trips to the cottage!
