Question ATTN: People with painted engine covers

1) Just wanted to know how many coats you guys used on your covers?

2) Also, if I wanted to remove the paint, what would be the best thing to use? I don't want to damage the plastic!

i used like 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of high temp. paint.

No primer here, just 3-4 coats high temp on all pieces.

Same here. And i didnt use a clearcoat. Dont like the shiny look on the engine.
