I rode in my friend's 2002 TL with navi... i noticed all the gas stations actually had a shell symbol... texaco symbol....etc.... WOW!! That is cool... if we upgrade our navi disk, do we get the same symbols?? Anyone know??

 

yup if you get the upgrade disc, you get that..cuz I have a 2000 navi...and Im using the 2001 cl-s disc..and it has the gas stations...it is cool.

 

yup, the 2000 didn't have that feature, I got it when I upgraded the DVD last year.

yeah is there an upgrade for the 99 navi because i heard they changed it for 2000. I could be wrong.

 

Are there any members in Kansas with a Nav? If so, how is the coverage around KC and Fort Leavenworth area? I'll be there for the next year, and trying to see if it would be worth getting the new nav DVD update. Thanks.

 

Coverage for entire KC area is extremely good. All side and secondary streets are marked. Only K-10 is marked when you get past K-7 going west. Going east it's marked all the way to St. Louis, St. Louis is very detailed also. I found my way to the nearest IHOP one Sunday in St. Louis.
KC going north pass the airport, only I-29 and main streets are marked. All in all a very wise investment for $2,000. (DVD ver 2.04)

Yeah I got gas station turned on and chinese restaurants too. I also turn on the babe alert. It shows up on the navi when there's a cute chick on the road.
