ATF-Z1 Fluid online?

Hi everyone- Does anyone know where I can get Honda ATF-Z1 fluid online? I am going to do the 3x tranny drain/refill, so I need 12qts of ATF-Z1 fluid. My local dealer charges $8 per quart . $96 is just too much for tranny oil. Any help is much appreciated.

LOL, try a honda dealership. You will end up paying the same with shipping charges.

A drain and fill takes about 3 quarts.

Either check e-bay or here

Shipping might make it not such a bargain

I have to do mine too. Lately I've been getting some "shuddering: as it changes gears, not all the time but often. I hope it's just dirty oil? Anyone else experience that????
It was changed about 26K miles ago.

It's probably been mentioned many times before but what is the procedure to do the change?

You drain the fluid from the transmission and add new fluid, then drive the car maybe 5 miles to mix the new fluid with what's in the torque convertor. Repeat the process 2-3 times.

Since you replace about 1/2 the fluid per change you have 1/2 new fluid after one change, 3/4 after two changes, and 7/8 after 3 changes.

I think 2x is enough.

Without looking too much like an idiot.....
Do you have to refill using the dipstick tube? If so I guess you'd need a spout with a hose that fits in the tube?

Did the drain and fill three times, found the "add" hole too.
Also added a "magic" tranny fix product . No more shudder and smooth shifting now.

Could you specify what "magic" tranny fix product you have added?

my guess is Lucus-type agent. Curry Honda on Peachtree Industrial in Atlanta has it by the quart for less than $7.

the 3x3 does require 12 qts- read your owner book directions-
its only required when you added dex3 in an emergency top off- which should never happen- the TL doesnt get low on fluid unless there is a really bad problem

trans holds 7.3 but only gives up 3-3.2 on a drain, the rest hides in the TQ and lines
