I've always just used water to clean leather...
That's what my neighbors and such use too but someday i might try the Meguiars spray version, it looks simple enough to use.

I've heard from some people its good to have a layer of leather conditioner and also heard its not good.

Silly question, but is the dash, door armrests, and such leather or are they vinyl? I know the seats and door filler is leather.

I use that on my seats and armrest...It actually does work, it gets the leather very clean...
I personally use this and then I do a coat of 303 aerospace over it, as well as on the dash, plastics of the center console, etc....

And yeah, spend some time in W/W, plently of knowledge in there and a bunch of helpful people/vendors.

So I am able to use the gelcare on the dash?
how about plastic haha xD

To give it a glossy little look.
And I don't have a 303 aerospace ( whateverthat is )
I have an all purpose spray <- LOL.

the dash, door armrests, etc are not leather or vinyl. they are a cheap rubberized foam. im trying to DIY leather wrap them but ill most likely just end up getting it done at a shop.

I use soft scrub (stuff with no bleach) to clean the leather and a good leather conditioner afterwards to condition the leather. I have been doing that to my couch as well for 15 years and it still looks and feels like new.

Get a bottle of 303 from DetailedImage and you will not be disappointed, I guarantee. Its truly the greatest product for protecting anything leather, vinyl, plastic, etc.

Agree. That stuff is great stuff. If you have a West Marine or similar store they carry it as well.

I have the spray bottle armor all conditioner. Need to use it soon, but It works wonders on the seats. seats feel a little slippery but overall really nice for 4 bucks! and one bottle has lasted me almost 2 years of monthly seat cleaning so good value!

I also use the armor all dash cleaner for the doors, steering, dash, components, speedo etc... basically anything that is leather it gets the dash cleaner.

I tell you that dash cleaner is seriously the greatest product ever for cleaning ANYTHING. the car was used by my dad and then my sister before me and lets just say she wasn't the cleanest person...one 2/3 hour cleaning session with the dash cleaner and the car looked factory fresh.

oh and for crevices and what not, toothpics! dipped in a bit of armor all, all the gunk will disappear!

Definitely better products out there than the Armor All Leather Gel Cleaner.

I used it before...I saw the detailing light.

Man, but seriously a lot of the quality stuff you got to purchase online and not over the counter at your local auto parts store/Wal-Mart.

If you want really high quality leather cleaning system check out Leather Masters.

http://www.uniters.com/int/folder.php?cms_folder=13

And P.S. Please don't clean your leather with water.
