eh I am removing myself from this list...went to the dealer to check out the car and they told me my transmission needed to be replaced. Thank goodness for that warranty extension.

38,500 no transmission problems (yet).

If I do I am covered by Acura's extended 7 year 100,000 mile warranty.

Hello all:

2003 TLS Currently at 14K, no problem yet, and keep it that way!!!
Keep my finger cross and pray....
Take care all

BTW: Still owned 92 Acura Integras GSR with 247K miles on it with orginal tranny. I hope this TLS will match it which is greater than or at least equal to...

how about don't drive the car and just leave it in the garage because that's the only way you can REALLY prevent any possible tranny problems...

dude... if it's gunna fry, it's gunna fry .. i read this so called "tips" all over this forum and laugh my ass off everytime...

get over it.. there isn't a good or bad way to drive this m/f-er.... it's all luck.

Guess what, my first one fried at 21K miles and it was running better than ever at 20K as well!!

I know this post is def. going to jinx me, but got my 2000 TL in June 2000 -- have about 38,XXX on it and no problems yet. I don't drive it too much b/c my company gives me an all expense paid car for business and personal use (2004 Chrysler Sebring). That car shifts like **** from day one!!!!!! And it's not that it's messed up, it's only problem is that it's American. When I take my TL out on the weekends (if I'm not going to a bad neighborhood LOL) it feels like a Rolls Royce after the Sebring.

Noam

drive nicely, this car has more than enough power even with just a little throttle, it's not a 4 banger that u have to floor it every single time...

TL-S has a high risk of blowing tranny becoz of the extra power, but TL-P should be alert coz they are using the same tranny

~hope this helps~ =)
Babying the car can only postpone the inevitable. And yes, TL-S has more power and thus more stress on the tranny clutches.
