Anyone using 08 Returns on their car?

i got my taxes in today and i was wondering if alot of people planned on using their hard earned money for Mods this year. and if so, what do you plan on doing with the cash?

i havent decided what to do yet but the list is pretty short.
wheels and tires (looking hard with no avail)
type S motor and install (not a must)
give the 944 a new paint job.. ( last resort)

for those who dont have to work lol, you can always tell us what you would recommend doing or would do.

woohoo for returns!

Build motor for boost, buy supplies for boost, and a couple sets of tires because I will be burning the hell out of them at the track.

I say spray the 944. I love those cars. If not quit slacking with the swap already.

Paint my side skirts and front lip, then put the rest of it away for lower springs or for my project car. I haven't decided yet.

for the TL...an AEM intake, and more stuff to increase gas mileage...im thinking a Tanabe hyper medallion, and Megan header.

for the bike im picking up an Icon Motorhead jacket, K&N filter, short velocity stack's, and a power commander USB III...then a well balanced street tune.

I was tempted to get the PCIII/K&N combo for my bike..but figured I would get more use out of the TL goodies. Wish I could afford both..

I'm using mine for a small vacation in Southern California and the rest if any exist will go to paying off debt. Wish I could drop money on mods to the TL but I've already done a lot of that on my family car (2004 Denali XL). If I could though I would get everything listed in my sig.

What year is your 944? What model? I used to have a 1987 944S 5MT- that car was a lot of fun to drive.

haha..man looking at that pic reminds me of those "bowling ball" rims my 944 came with. What were they thinking?

A buddy of mine in Florida has one that he crammed a hopped up v8 and TH400 into. They have fun terrorizing people on the street with it.

turbo can run mid 13's with good driver.. the S model isnt far behind that.. and the regular models run about even with the TL-S

seen a guy at the track run a different turbo setup on his with about 24 psi and run mid 12's with ONLY turbo and tune...

very fun and Affordable car these days.. pick one up for around 5-10 k depending on the model you choose..

it was named the "best handling car in the world"

and as posted above.. if youre into drifting.. its an AMAZING drifter..
i baby mine though

Back when I had the 944S- I raced a buddy of mine that put a crate 350 in his 84 camaro from a second gear roll, pulled him about a half to 3/4 car upstairs in 3rd. He got mad and said that his transmission was slipping..

Another race I had in that car was against a 3000GT Vr-4. From a first gear roll I pulled him about a half a car and stayed there all the way to the top of 4th.

Never could get a good race out of it from a dead dig...the car was nearly impossible to launch..I think gearing played a major factor there.

That car handled like it was on rails..

This is bringing back a lot of good memories talking about that car...
