Anyone with No Transmission Problems?
Hey guys...
I want to see how many TL owners with high mileage and no transmission problems? Please state the year and mileage?
I wanted to see if it's just a certain batch of TL owners who has tranny problems or is it the majority of TL owners?
If the majority of us is having problems and having to replace the tranny over and over...than why are we still keeping our TLs...what if warranty runs out will you trade in the car or keep it and pay to get the tranny fixed? Which would cost about $5000 at least.
I just want to know people's opinions!

Re: Anyone with No Transmission Problems?
I know there is a guy with a CL-S I talked to the other day. He has over 40k on his car, with no tranny problems at all. He has a 01 CL-S...

I have a 99TL with 93,000KMs on it. I don't know how much that comes out to in miles...but it's alot!!! I haven't had any tranny problems but I might get my tranny changed for a new one before the warranty finishes. I have a hook up at my local Acura dealership and he's basically gonna swap out anything that's still under warranty for some new stuff...hehehehe

My 2002 TL has 18,000 miles and no problems. Note, buddy from Canada, you're mileage is about 60,000 miles. 1 kilometer = .6 miles. Also, I cannot believe any dealer would replace a tranny just because warranty is up. They are accountable to Acura copyrite. Those trannys have to cost about $3000 to Acura to rebuild and install.

Hey BlexV6,
My friend's a mechanic at the Acura dealership and he has a way of "getting this done" if you know what I mean, so I'm not too worried....as long as I don't have to pay anything. He's also the guy that hooks me up with any OEM Acura parts for nearlly cost price.
