Anyone know how long the 60k service takes?

My car is about to hit 60,000 and so I'll probably be taking it in for servicing in 2 weeks. I was just curious what the average cost of it was and how long it took to perform.

Also you think the time it takes would warrant getting a loaner?

Before any of you say it, I did do a search but didn't find anything on how long it took, or if it warrantied a loaner. As for general prices, i read some people got quoted from 300 to 700 dollars. Any more input would be great thanks!

i got a loaner when i got mine done. i think it took a day and i got my car late in the night (i guess they were backed up that day). there were somethings i did myself which reduced the price of the service quite a bit.

if you log into the acura owner link (https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?brand=acura) they outline what is being done so if you are up to it, check it out, and search this site for some do-it-yourself guides

otherwise, best bet would probably be to call a dealership or two to get pricing.

good luck

I dont know about yoru acura dealership but at mine you have to be 21 so I doubt you can get a loaner. I never even bother to ask for one since I know its going to be a no. However my dealerhsip has great service im sure if i was 21 they would diffenently give me one.

Would it help if I went with my mom? Also should I call in advance and schedule an appointment and while I'm at it request a loaner, or should I just show up and see if they're feeling generous?

bleh, I really want a TSX loaner (04 especially) since I'm really interested in one. Would dealers lend out used cars as loaners? Or do they have specially apointed cars as loaners?

They have specific cars as loaners however most of them from what i have read here are TSXs so you might get a TSX just not an 04. Your mom could get the loaner car but the thing is they wont list you on the loaner so technically you would have the loaner you just wouldnt be aloud to legally drive it. Dude im right there with you though and once i turn 21 im getting a huge service done just so I can get a loaner. Oh if you are going with your mom and decided to get a loaner its best to ask in advance.

I just did mine

The service outline for normal driving indicated that the 60K service is essentially an oil change, a cabin filter change, tire rotation, and numerous inspections.

I did it myself for the price of the filter, synthetic oil, and cabin filters. It came to about $50 in parts. I figure I will spend the difference on other things like an icebox or new brake pads and rotors. My tranny was replaced at 52K so I figured that it does not need servicing yet.
