I live in Austin, however I have a home in Dallas also, so Dallas would be great. HOwever, I know there are those Houston folks and Houston is damn far away from Dallas. So let me know with some comments about where a meet could be best conducted at.

haha, yeh, i dont have anything either, hence the silver stock. all i have to show is some blue bulbed courtesy lights!

 

thaitea, lights are just stock lights with the chrome bezel painted black and the amber reflector removed.

Hope no one feels discouraged about attending meets if their car is stock. Checking out one another's cars is just part of the reason we have meets. It's also a chance to meet people with common interests, hangout, and have fun. Meets can sometimes be very helpful too. When I used to own an Accord, bunch of local Accord buddies met at someone's house and had a "mod session" (cleared out headlights, installed lowering springs, etc. as a group), and then went cruising afterwards. It was a blast.

Dallas or Austin are fine by me and I'll show. I vote Austin as it's more scenic and has better driving roads (more curvy and scenic). I live in Dallas, though, but whatever...

We tried this a few months ago and everyone except me and another guy bailed out two days prior, so I hope this meet is a greater success!

Yea, unfortunately Texas is so freaking big that people would have to drive far to meet up. However, Austin would be the best central location. I'm kind of skeptical about how many people will show, considering a lot of houston people are probably not willing to drive all the way over to austin. Anyway, I'm willing to do this.
By the way, here in Austin at the Illegals, there are so many Phat cars. If we can time things right, we can all roll up there and show them SUP!!!
PLEASE, do not be discouraged for having a stock TL, because it's all good. Your still the TL family.

I know there's a "battle of the imports" on March 18th at San Antonio (River City Raceway)its on a sunday, yeah it kind of awhile from now. We could always meet that friday on march 16th in austin and hang in austin for a few days and then all roll down to the "battle of the imports" at San Antonio (River City Raceway).. hey maybe they might even have a car show event we all could enter =)

Any good Austin parties coming up? besides the Kaboom one on Feb 2nd, i think that's the date.

I saw your TL yesterday around 5:30pm driving by Waterloo Brewing Co. It looks flat out awesome. I was glad to see no spoiler.

The body kit, CL rims, Inspire tails and drop look fantastic.

Thanks a lot for your nice comments about my car. I'm glad to know that there are other TL lovers here in Austin. Yea, I think the car looks better without the factory spoiler. If I did get a spoiler I would get a flush mount. Anway, if this meet happens to work out, you definitely have to come.

A March meet is fine, but I'd enjoy a meet even sooner than that. Maybe each city (Dallas, Houston, Austin) can have it's own minimeet, say this or next weekend, and then we all can have a state-wide meet in March at the races.

The idea of the Auto Show is definitely pretty hype. I'm for sure going to that. By the way, how do you get tickets? I figure at the door.

For all those people that are interested in running your car on a real track, we can gather one friday night and head out to a drag strip so we can see how each other's cars run. It would be very interesting. I have been out to the Temple drag strip and the Texas motorspeedway in Ennis and on Friday nights they have a test and tune night where anyone can bring out any type of vehicle and run it down the track. Also, there are many people that go out to this event. Lots of ricers, however they are fast. Just a suggestion.

Another good idea! I've been out to those 2 tracks you mentioned also, but have only raced in Temple. Have you been to the one down to RiverCity (San Marcos)? Heard a lot of Austin people stopped going to Temple and started going RiverCity instead cuz its newer and they race (T&T) on Wed & Fri. We should go sometime. Real fun.
