Anyone have this problem..

The other day, out ofnowhere, everytime I accelerate it feels like the car is shifting side to side....but the second I lay off the gas its fine. I can accelerate to about 60 and once I left off the gas the problem goes away so I don't think it has anyhing to do with the tires. Even when braking this doesnt happen....only acceleration. I checked tire pressure and everything else to make sure and it all checks out. Any ideas?

nah, i know about torque steer and this is definately not the case. Let me try to clarify...its not like I'm fighting with the wheel (pulling side to side), but it feels like the car itself is shaking....i feel like big time from my foot on the gas when accelerating. From the outside of the car you can't tell anything is happening (let my friend drive to see if I was crazy ). Its very noticeable as passengers have commented on it as well.

Hey Andrew

If you are cruising at a steady speed is there a problem?? Maybe a tire is out of balance, or you have a tire problem itself. Try rotating the tires and see.

its not happening when i am cruising, only when accelerating. Once I hit about 30 i can let go of the gas and the car will roll nice and smooth. Once the weather gets nicer I'll rotate them just to try and eliminate that as a potential problem.

I have same problem with my 19's after I rotate the wheels.

I am going to re-balance my wheels & see but have no time to do it.
