supposedly the reverse bulbs are #921. but there is no such thing as 921 in the aftermarket world. though they are interchangeable with the 168 bulbs, which nearly every company makes

i think the 168 are smaller bulbs, so im wondering if they put off enough light.

anyone have superwhite reverse signals? if so, what brand/bulb number? do they put out enough light?

I just ordered the PIAA extreme white 921 bulbs for my backup lights and the Prolarg 1156 amber bulbs for my rear turn signals.

Backup ligts use W2 or 192 type bulbs.
example: Polarg M6

 

Walked out to the garage and pulled the bulb for the backup light for my TL-S. The bulb for it is a 921. Could be different bulb type for the 99-00 cars.

 

I have the superwhite for my reverse lights. They have a bluish tint to them. I will try to get the number tomorrow.

 

I have Polarg reverse lights. They look blue when off. M6 I believe.

 

I would do this but, i think the blues kindof dont look right in the daytime...I havent seen the tails with it in a while, someone refresh me...Damn, I just wish we could have white turn signals and not have to worry about that being the only reason for getting pulled over...Shyne

 

I have the 02 tails and harness on my 01.. and I used my old bulbs, works fine..

Polarg M-6 are supposed to be 192, maybe it's the same as 921 in another country?

 

Any of you guys have the "blue" one though. It will light up blue and not just looked blue.

I bought them at a local import shop... heres what the package looks like..

 

I can second that. I have the EXACT same bulb/package and bought them off this site. I just never thought they were that blue at night! I thought they were white.

It's just the picture. The camera caught too much blue.

 

You know hes right, the bulbs are actually more white in person. I tried taking pics during the day, but they arent showing up. I still think they look great!

how the fock you take pictures of your reverse lights?? Don't you have to shift it into gear, get out of the car and then take the pics??

Or do you have the E-brake on??

...have the Polarg M6 bulbs. They're blue when off and hyper-white when on. The old amber tails and the newer clear tails use different bulbs for Reverse. New tails use the wedge bulbs - old uses the push 'n twist type.

yes it's illegal. reverse lights are only supposed to be white.
