i need to find out the wire colors for the o2 sensor that goes into the cat. its 4 wires on both sides. theres 2 blacks, a green and a white on the sensor side, and from the car i cant really see the wires. can anyone help? my freakin check engine light is on b/c the wires arent hooked up

 

I'm not sure I understand your question. What do you need to know? I have a service manual.

 

the sensor that comes outta the side of the catalytic converter that plugs into the cars wiring its has a yellow wire jacket coming from the cat. inside the yellow jacket is 4 wires 2 blacks, i think a green, and a white. when i was taking my exhaust down i didnt unplug the connector and the wires ripped right outta the socket. i can put the wires back into the socket but im not sure what wires go in what holes? im sure theres a diagram that shows the wire colors from the sensor and the wire colors from the car. is that alittle better? p.s its an 02 TLS and the wires from the car are not the same color as the wires coming from the sensor

 

OK, now I know what you're asking. When I get home I'll post the info from the manual (it shows the color to color connection of the O2 sensor pigtail to the wiring harness). Stand by...

OK, the O2 sensor at the cat is the secondary heated O2 sensor (HO2S) and it's connected like this:

PCM wiring harness HO2S ('99) HO2S ('00-'01)
WHT------------------------RED1 ------------RED1
GRN-------------------------BLK2 ------------YEL3
BLK--------------------------YEL --------------YEL
BLK-------------------------WHT1 ------------WHT1


I could not find what the numbers mean so I don't know which of the two yellows on the '00-'01 sensor goes to the black and green wires on the harness and also which of the two black wires on the harness goes to the yellow and white wires on the sensor. Note: this is the layout for '99 and '00-'01 cars (my manual is for '99-'01). I don't have any info for '02-'03 cars.
