Anyone else shopping for TLs in So Cal?

man, regardless of it's true or not, i'm so sick of hearing this, 'oh, the cars are very hot, if you don't come down now, it'll be sold in 2 minutes.'..........

i'm having trouble getting what i believe is a good price, i mistakenly requested quotes on a TL-S with Navi (i'm looking for TL-P with navi) and the best i see is 31,999 with locks and muds.. geez, i didn't know there were more people buying cars now than before the 9/11 tragedy...

anyone else in so cal shopping right now? how's your experience?

Go look on the dealer's lots. I didn't count the TLs, but I have just bought my wife a 2001 CL type S. There were plenty on the lots. We bought it for Invoice.

From what I know, There are very much demand for TL's than
CL's whether its type S or not. Because CL-S or CL-P are not selling well, many dealers are selling them for invoice or below invoice. Dealers loose money when they keep the car for too long or if it gets to next year. When I was buying my TL-S in July, I had a heck of time trying to find a TL-S with Navigation system. TL or TL-S, the one's with navigations systems are in demand and there is not enough. Some dealer had none and some had 1 or 2. I finally went to Tustin Acura and They had 4 TL-S w/ Navi so I was able to negotiate the price. I paid $31,300 including mud guard and wheel locks. In other words, I paid $700 hundred over invoice. I was a Cerritos Acura last week looking at CL's and they had many but they did not have many TL'S or TL-S's. I talked to one of their sales manager and he told me that TL's with Navi's are still in demand. Types S or not, TL's with Navi are "BEACH" to negotiate because of the demand. Try calling Renee Kim at Tustin Acura or John Hyun at Costa Mesa Acura. John Hyun was going get me a real good deal on TL-S w/ Navi but he did not have them in stock so I went to Renee at Tustin Acura. Renee Kim was very nice but Tustin Acura sales dept SUCKS. The sales managers are A$$HOLES. Try to go to a dealer where there are lots of cars instock.

I hope this helps

Matt,

If you are anywhere near Acura 101 west is Calabasas, go see Sam in the fleet department. I bought a TL-S non navi for 29,629 (which is 1,000 over invoice) plus Tax and license.

I've also heard that some people got great deals at Keyes in Van Nuys.

While some people have done better, I believe that $500 to $1,000 over invoice is a fair price for this fast selling, popular new vehicle. Find a dealer that you like and fax them your offer...

Good luck.
