Post Anybody with Koni's and OE springs?

Do the Koni adjustable shocks lower the spring perches giving the ability to lower a bit (I think up to 30mm) and/or equal out the wheel gap (for us conservative owners) and still use the OE springs but allow us to dial in a more agressive rebound rate? Anybody have experience with these Koni's or constructive opinions about using this set-up?
thanks

Question

I am also looking for a response to this question. Just installed Comptech Sways and still looking for that tighter feel.

Yes you can put the spring perches on the Koni's lower circlip groove, enabling you to lower your TL about 1 inch using OEM springs.

Thanks for reply TL Daddy.
How does the adjustment work. Can I assume the fronts are adjustable from the engine bay but the rears have to be removed to re-adjust the ride? Also, do we reuse the existing spring perches or does Koni supply new?
thanks

Koni's come with one adjusting knob for each pair of shocks. Use this removeable knob to soften ~ stiffen the ride. Each shock comes with 2 machined grooves and one metal circlip. Move this circlip to the upper or lower groove (this is your spring perch seat) to adjust the height. The uppoer groove is to be used with lowering springs, the lower groove is used with OEM springs to lower 1 inch.
Koni does supply new spring perches - the only thing you'll have to reuse is the accordion-style dust boot that goes over the shock, but you'll have to file the hole at the top a little to accomodate the beefier shock piston rod.

....one more thing, yes the fronts can be adjusted (firmness) from the engine bay. You will have to remove your back seat each time to get to the top of the rear shocks unless you make some kind of access from the trunk or even better, the rear deck.

Thanks again TL Daddy,
I thought there would be a little more adjustablity in the height of the spring perches but I think it will be ok. Can always change springs later if needed. It seems like my OE springs have settled down 1/2" or so since new so this may be my solution to lower the front wheel gap to equal the rear and get a firmer ride. I'll order from Tim this weekend and take measurments after install if anybody else out there is interested.

If you use the koni's for instance to lower 1 inch, wouldn't that just kill your springs? The ride would be terrible compared to Comptech srings, correct?

The Koni specials are designed to work with both OE and aftermarket springs. You are just lowering the spring perch down 1" for the OE springs (as Koni designed for) - coilovers do the same thing but use a threaded body. Try their site www.koni-na.com
