is any of the wood trim standard?

i see the trim pieces on the side of the console in the stock pix. those are standard right? what's reasonable to pay for the cluster, ac/vent and shifter knob? are those a package or are they separate pieces?

The A/C vent kit is a separate kit-- runs about $50. I'm not sure about the shift knob-- i have not seen one with the black wood yet. I don't see why you would want to change the perforated leather 'type S' knob though.

it's just that i have a friend who just got a new TL and they had to negotiate having all the wood trim as part of the deal. i haven't seen the current "S" shifter knob up close, but matching wood trim all around gives the interior a touch of elegance. it can be overdone though - i saw this lex400 that had aftermarket wood trim and it was a light brown on light grey interior -UGHHHH!

My TLS has the Parchment interior so I have the wood looking trim instead of the Black trim. I got the Burlwood shift knob with it and I love the way it looks. It matches perfectly and looks very elegant. Only thing I worry about is what it will look like in 3 years. I still have the Type S shift knob in a box so that's my fallback if there's a problem.

Tim sells the entire kit for somewhere in the low $200 dollar range if I recall correctly. It has all the pieces so you could pick and choose what you liked or not.

Search for a post by Mr.Hyde, had bowling ball madness in the title, he installed quite a number of the pieces and posted pictures of them.
