I'm thinking we might need to all get your contact info Nate. Those guys seem to be blowing us off. At least, we need somebody to call them once or twice a day to remind them we won't go away. If they get a little more pressure, they might speed it up. Just a thought.

Does anyone do business in the country of manufacture? I think it was taiwan. It would be great if they could drop by th plant and bug them in person...

I get to singapore on occasion but never to taiwan.

They didn't take the money and run, thats for sure. I talk to the guy at 4IG every single day, else I would be worried about that. Trust me, I bug the crap out of him and he is just as upset about the time flying by as we are. We are waiting on the manufacturer... I'm told that 4IG's broker in Taiwan has seen our gauge overlays in person. The 4IG guy told me last night 14 days... not a happy number but if its true the fawking awesome... if it doesn't happen we may have to find a different manufacturer. Which means more time down the drain. But I don't think it will come to that and I don't mean to scare anybody. I'm sure the manufacturer will get over this stewpid kick and deliver.

Do you know which city and Taiwan and which company...

I didn't order no gauge, but I can try my best to do the following...

1. check and see if the company is doing okay or gone under already. The economy ain't doing so good over there, so...

2. see if I somehow know some people in that industrial park and have them to ask and see what's up...

Then again, I try my best... I don't know how fast I can get in contact and all that...

Just a favor for my TL bro... if anyone cares...

I'm not doubting the company or manufacturer Nate, but i have seen this many times before. For example when i was a member of the contour.org board, there was a person that said if 50 people order altezza style tails, that a company would make them. 50 people ordered them for 300.00 each set of 2. The person said 3 months. 3 months came and went. The fiasco lasted for 1 year, there were small claim lawsuits, fights, everything.

Hey fellas,

Lets just chill for a bit..

Nate says about 2 weeks.. I can wait another 2 weeks. I know many of us have been waiting an extraodinary lenght of time for these but they will be worth it. I'm sure Nate will keep us updated of any changes, we're all waiting together..

I think we are just anxious about getting them because it HAS been a long time.. and also the fact that the mfgr isn't giving details on why it is taking so long...

If the gauges have been made, maybe a picture of the actual gauges would ease some of the impatience..

I say we give them 14days.. for now..

I'd still be happier if the manufacturer would take 5 minutes out of their time to send us an e-mail. If they can't even do that, then everything is suspect. I'm not trying to knock you Nate, but the manufacturer is starting to act kinda fishy.

i hear what your saying but times are tuff right now, and i could use 80 bucks. i want the gauges so i was willing to sacrifice. but i refuse to be taken in a scam. i'll have somebody's a**. i don't believe in that kind of crap. and this has nothing to do with nate. its all about the manufacture. something needs to be done. give me the name of whomever i need to talk to. i'll be happy to help get to the bottom of this.

I wonder what our options are? I am still not clear on who has been paid yet. We paid 4IG through paypal, did they ever pay the manufacturer in Taiwan? In my experience B2B does not pay until the goods are recieved. If this is the case, then 4IG can either give us our money back or find another manufacturer. At this point I still want my gauge a lot more than the money. I appreciate the work that Nate has put into this and the uncomfortable position that he is in as our advocate. Thanks Nate, and keep whatever info coming that you have even if it is bad.

I kind of see our $80 as a few bucks that are in a somewhat risky bid for some cool guages. Hopefully it comes through and either way our cars are still nice, and I have plenty to eat, etc...

:-)

I guess if 4IG could tell us that our money is safe and that they will find aonther manufacturer (if need be) then we could feel safer.

Thanks for understanding guys... trust me, 4IG is just as upset as we are. 4IG told me last night that they decided to switch to a new manufacturer in Taipei! The new manufacturer is going to use the same design we already created and is able to deliver us the combo feature as well. They said 2 weeks, so hopefully Friday, December 14th they will be done and can express ship them to 4IG in the US who will then 2nd day deliver them to us. I really hope this manufacturer doesn't flake and take longer. But keep in mind that I bug 4IG on a daily basis to check the status and make sure things are moving.
