By the way Does it dim with the dash or not. That will help me wire it. My guess is it doesn't because the window buttons and lights do not and their wires probably tap the same leads before leaving the door.

The MIRROR directional does indeed dim with the other dash lights as do the memory seat buttons. The window switches don't light at all unless the ignition is in the on position. Strange.

I did some further investigating:
My window switches light if the power windows are active (meaning the windows will go up and down) regardless of the ignition position or if the headlights are on or not.
If you turn off the car and don't open either front door, the windows continue to work (and the sunroof) for 10 minutes--the switches remain lit. After 10 minutes, the lights go out and the windows stop working. Or as soon as I open either front door (before 10 mins. is up), the lights go out and windows stop working.
And, turning the master power window switch to OFF turns off all the passenger window switches and lights (the ones on each door) and the three passenger power window switches and lights on the driver's door. But the driver's "AUTO" switch remains lit.
So I guess it comes down to this: If the window goes up and down--the switch is lit, otherwise it is unlit. Oh, and none of the window switches dim (but remember, the MIRROR directional switch does dim.)
Hope this helps!

I went to my dealer today to order the harness for my Inspire tails and they wanted $20 dollars over list price. Forget that I'll get it from Jans or something. While I was leaving I looked at the TL-S and I noticed the mirror controlls aren't black. They seemed to be the collor of the fog swith and the words mirror off etc seemed tranluscent. Can you tell me if they light up with the dash? the on off window, heated mirro, and the mirror directional? Thanks

The square, directional button that says Mirror does now light up, but the L . R does not nor the heated mirror button (except when the heat is on, a yellow LED lights.) The memory seats buttons light also.

Thanks that was extremely helpful. As soon as I finish all the other work, I will put in the new switch when at the same time I do the auto folding mirrors.
