since u traded ur stock exhaust i take it u don't have ur stock resonator. Ur piping probably doesn't have a resonator/muffler on it to lessen the sound before it gets to the mufflers. www.completeexhaust.com , and look for an 18 or 22" muffler that can match the same diameter as ur piping after the cat. Since u want it quiet, i'd go with 22". I have 18" and the exhaust still drones pretty loud.
Hey moahdriven:

In my post regarding the magnaflow resonator, you recommended that I install a 14" resonator in between the cat and the OEM resonator. Would this combination be quieter than just the 22" resonator alone (OEM resonator removed). Let me know. Thx!!!

Werd. Same hear. Resonance sux with these Megans. I was also disappointed because I installed my UR pulleys before my headers. I had some nice low-end gains going on until I installed my headers. I lost most of the low-end gains from the pulleys to the high-end from the headers.

Nice trade-off I guess, but damn those low-end gains were NICE!

I have a UR crank pulley waiting to be installed... would you say it's worth installing if i already have headers?

UR crank pulley certainly makes a big difference, i could feel it

last week i rode on Pure A's ride with headers and pulley and that shit pulls like hell

but it has a disadvantage of stressing out the engine faster thou

i love the feel of the pulleys and headers.

i have obx, i know alot of you are complaining, but mine doesnt have a really noticeable resonance. i actually love the gains and it goes pretty well with the pulleys.

only thing i gotta get now is an exhaust and a set of v2 aem cai installed. cant wait.

^^ V2 eh? I'm looking to get my V2 swapped out this summer... go back to stock for a while then maybe pick up an icebox. Seeing as how you're in NJ, perhaps you'd want to buy my old V2?

The only regret is the V-AFC II so far. It's causing intermittent transmission shifting problems. I have a different setup in mind for the near future, so I will most likely end up ditching the V-AFC II.

1) Comptech springs....I've had them on for 3 years now 40K miles and they are showing signs of rust. Slightyly though...I already bought tiens SS to replace but havent swapped them out yet.

2) I installed 8000K fogs and they appear to be too blue and don't match my 6000K HIDs.

you should try to get the comptech's replaced under warranty and then sell the new ones

Did you even get any gains out of the VAFC by leaning it out a bit?

CAI is fine unless you live in really WET areas.

My worst mod.... buying 100W Eaglite Xenon Bulbs... bright as hell head on... but you can't see squat on the road. I fixed this problem by going out and buying real HID's (Philips Ultinon) for my fogs.
