It still sounds like two unrelated incidents right now. The symptoms are similar though: some lights on your instrument panel begin to flash or light incoherently. If you see this happening, drive your car to the dealer's right away and remove all valuables from the car!

If I get those symptoms...
I'll keep driving into a deserted area, wait till my TL catches fire. In 2 weeks I'll have a Type S.
