KAVI'S BRAND NEW TYPE-S BLEW IT'S TRANNY! AT WHAT POINT DO THEY INITIATE A RECALL!!!??? this is getting RIDICULOUS!!! KMAN

 

HE must have supercharged his car. Everyone knows the Tl's tranny can't handle the extra power!

bone stock except for springs. I didnt baby my car nor did I beat the $hit out of it. I just drove it depending on how I felt. I called the dealer and they told me that my tranny came in today and that I should have it on Monday or Tuesday at the latest. My friend took his '00 CLS in after I told him about mine and the prognosis was that he had a bad tranny as well! I am sooooo freaking happy to get rid of this POS Pontiac Grand AM GT that they gave me as a loner. I went to the shop today and It looked Like there has been some body damage to my car!!!!!! I couldn't tell from a distance...I sure as hell hope not (for the dealers sake)

Why are they giving you a Pontiac. I thought all Acura dealers gave Acura loaners. Mine use to give Integras.....now RSX's.

 

Thats exactly my point. I tired of people claiming the tranny fails because it is weak. It appears that some people have the failures and others dont regardless of how you drive, mileage or what mods you have done. So basing moding on that is not really based on facts. Something is failing and there should be a class action suit for if nothing else, answers. I have heard a lot of accords trannys failed on another board. If I get at least 6 years from mine Ill be glad to replace it with something stronger.

 

4000 miles and the tranny crapped out on him? WTF? I'm really concern about this now. I just bought a brand new TL and still has an option to get the extended warranty. If this is a big issue on these cars, should I stop by the dealer and sign up????

 

the trannies on the odyssey's are also crappin out ....the service manager at acura told me this when i asked him about the weak trannny issue ....i wonder if this is happening on any MDX's
