i was on the freeway on my way to work, exited, and then stopped at a light. from a normal and smooth acceleration, everything was fine. i was trying to shift into 3rd gear, but it stayed on 2nd even though the indicator said it was on 3rd. i had to drive all the way to work on 2nd gear. fortunately, it wasn't too far. when i shifted into reverse, the tranny was slipping and then banged into gear! i was like, what the?!!? here's another tranny biting the dust. i joined the club, yay!

my car is a 2002, i bought it in early december and i have 22,000 miles on it. quite alot for a year, lol. .

today, i was driving on the freeway (again) in 5th gear. i down shifted to 4th and my car felt like it down shifted to 1st gear!! my car jerked sooooo hard that if i wasn't wearing my seat belt, i swear my face would have hit the windshield!! my car is going to be in for service today, no doubt. that experience scared the hell out of me. i hope that the dealer doesn't give me any BS about the tranny like they did to my friend. they told my buddy that is was the solenoid causing the tranny to act like that so they replaced it and told him to drive it for awhile. hmmm?

 

That's what happened to copland. Sorry to hear that. Good thing is though....you didn't lose the control. He almost banged into the center divider. :wow:
