I did not know you get rain like that.
Illinois news, "Their could be a chance of over night tsunami's"

That is messed up rajca,I would still do something with it.

would be a perfect track car...., since you would not need a interior (or power windows and such) anymore (and you want to rebuild the motor anyways, just has to be converted to a manual though lol)

Winter here are no better, especially when the town doesn't care about side streets as much. My tl when it was slammed plowed the streets by my house

I got my cl for track days.

If the insurance company doesn't total the car (which is likely...) then they'll likely cover the repairs to get it in sellable condition.

I had one buried to the hood, and it cleaned up fine. New fluids, dry the carpet and interior, etc.

Thats going to be tough to negotiate, if they repair it. Some insurance companies have extra packages you can add to your premium to specify only OEM parts.

Also, you mentioned the car has a salvage title. I think its more then likely going to be totaled.

And sewer water?

pull the floor drains should be able to see them from the underside, or even drill a nice hole, if the draining is really bothering you (like the spare tire well is probably a horrible one for pooling)

I still have it, not parting it out. My agent said they don't fix flooded cars like mine so it totaled and letting the insurance take care of the car. Not worth the hassle and I don't have time for a part out

and the headaches that come along with trying to fix said cars, (let alone you saying it had already started smeeling inside of mold and such)(btw you say the car would not run either, well guess what is right on the floor/trans tunnel; the ECU...)

Insurance scam! You did all that with a garden hose! lol sorry, just tryin to make light of it. On a serious note, get a civic si as a daily. They're fun little cars to drive and you can find them somewhat cheap. Really hope everything is ok with you. Floods are no joke (obviously). Hope your house never suffers that kinda damage. Regardless of insurance coverage, it's still a loss and it's one more thing nobody ever wants to deal with

You know, you would think that with all the money you pay for insurance over how long then something happens and you finally need them to do something they make you wait.....and wait and wait. No consideration. What if that was your only car and needed it to get to work you know? Insurance companies suck! Sorry lol

I understand that its taking a while, chicago got hit hard with floods (car and houses). Even if it was my only car, I still couldn't drive it bc of a suspended lic.
