Good thing you were not lowered or that water would have really got in the car. J/K that sucks. water damage is never good. Although someone will buy it dry it out and sell it to someone else.

Oh damn, this is just terrible - I hope the insurance will take care of this for you.

We basically had the same car - taken down by mother nature...

that's a damn shame...

House was taking in some water, but it always does when it rains hard. This is probably one on the biggest floods we had here in the last 10 years that I lived here.

Spent a few thousand dollars last few months fixing its misfire, body panels/paint, and front suspension

Damn, that sucks. At least you do have full coverage. And the CL wasn't damaged either. Was it garaged?

Are you looking at getting another TL-S?

no plans of ever owing a 2nd gen tl. 3rd gen 6spd tl-s maybe, but i want something more fuel economical.

took the cl out last night so it was all good, hit a few semi flooded streets but nothing bad.

make sure to turn in all the receipts for the last few months of work on the car

Insurance has to figure that in addition to the low value the book gives the TL

I thought the curse was only when you declare something like:
It never rains here, parking under big trees is perfectly safe,,
or the old favorite,,,,,,
my trans is perfect at 140kmiles and no fluid changes~

what sucks is that i dont have any recites. never keep them or they get lost in teh garage and then thrown out by me or someone else.

im pretty sure their going to total it. adjuster will come out monday, police report is done.

im gonna pay off my school with the money the insurance gives me. then take the rest and save up for another more fuel efficient car.

you can look up the parts online, for the ones that cant be removed from the car
Use that as replacement cost for the insurance

Just seen on CNN- Chicago floods- grey TL being pushed by 2 guys thru the water!

Sorry about that man- that's a real bummer. Kinda doubt ins. would pay extra for recent work, probl. just book value of the car unless you had informed them of extras, i. e. expensive stereo, custom paint, etc.

We currently imy lic. is suspended so I have a friend drive my car to the track and I race it at thr track, so don't need a dd at the moment. But when it comes time, either new civic si/ mugen, fit, or smart car(fuel economy ftw lol). But during winter the cl will be getting a built engine and boosting mid to high teens.

even then did't you want to sell the tl at some point anyways , but also don't forget to get the taxes and regrisration fees, when they pay you out also (and just happen to mention it after you have settled on a price btw, and if they really wanted to argue, should not be too hard to get a qoute/estimate or something from the DMV)(btw the regristration fee will probably be pro-rated on how much was left before having to be renewed)

FYI the Smart car required premium. Get a Fit for the utility/gas mileage. They handle pretty well.

I was gonna sell it. Monday I was gonna pick up a rim bc one of mine is bent to shit and post it forsale bc I don't drive it. But that's not happening. Its a salvage title car so whatever the insurance gives me is fine, I got it for pretty cheap.

One head light is new (oem) as u see and the other one is fairly new just oxidized really fast for some reason. I do not plan ond taking anything off the car and selling it. I tool out what was mine, cds, few tools, and jp neck pillows. Im honestly done working on the car. I got it running perfect ans did some recent maintanance to it a few months back.

Quick Reply: another tl down. damn curse.
