Another one down

Omg this is crazy, I received the letter for transmission recall where they would install the oil jet. Car ran fine before install without the slightest hint of a problem. Two days after the recall work, my transmission messes up. It would occassionally jerk forward while i'm driving and when shift into reverse, it would pause for 5 whole seconds before it actually starts rolling backwards. This is ridiculous!! Sorry just had to vent.

Anyone wanna lay odds that Acura will actually do something about the REAL tranny problem and not the one the current recall (oiljet) does?

Damn why am I hearing so many stories that the transmission gets messed up after they bring it in for the recall? Is it a coincidence or what? Makes me not want to bring it in anymore.

New Transmission with new vibration

I got my new transmission about 2 months ago and when I picked it up I immediately noticed a new vibration in the front end of the car. I took it back and they took the new oil pressure regulator out and put the old back in. This seems to have resolved the issue. I still get a vibration once in a while when I first start driving the car after sitting for a day or so. I asked Acura, "Did you fix the problem with the transmissions or are you just replacing with new ones?" They replied they have fixed the problem.
I now have 68K miles on the car and am wondering if the warranty is going to come up and the transmission is going to go right after. On another note I have a bad front shock after 50K miles which is crazy for a nice car like this. Does anyone have any ideas where I can get a good set so I can do it myself?? If anyone needs help replacing the light bulb by the clock just let me know. I just did mine in 30 minutes and could probably do it the next time in half.

I aggree with fsttyms1. Unless a hose came loose & caused a problem, the tranny would have failed anyway.
