Welcome to the forum I say that you should get headers and exhaust, and then intake. It's good to see another person who is on here because they love their TL.

Hey welcome to the forum and good luck with the car. First of all you need to figure out what your budget is and what is it that you are working towards? Is it performance, sound, looks or anything else? If you are looking for most performance for your dollar then go with a CAI (cold air intake) system. Comptech ice box and AEM CAI are the two good options that you have along with injen. Comptech looks OEM and gives you 14 additional hp, and sounds almost the same as the factory intake as well. The AEM CAI is another story, it’s almost the same price as the Comptech one is, may be a little cheaper, but you get 13hp, looks like a regular CAI, do a search and you will find plenty of pictures of this particular CAI. If you are looking for sound, well then this is the choice you want to go with. The sound that the AEM and Injen CAI make is addicting, least to say. As far as exhaust, well exhaust you have a few choices, comptech seems to be the crowd pleaser these days but here is a thread with few other choices

Then the next thing would be headers. I would say go with comptech, they are expensive but if you look around you can find a good used set for around 600 to 700 bucks and its money well spent. People are using other headers such as megan, obx, alphawerks etc. but no one has long term experience with them, so i would say go with the comptechs, and as i said earlier it all comes down to how much you are willing to spend. The list of mods is endless, so if you have any particular one that you are interested in getting information for do post you question up here, after all that’s what we fellow TLers are here for, to help, good luck once again.

if you're heavy on your foot when accelerating, get CAI. If you are light on your foot when accelerating, get exhaust. If you want external cosmetics, go with exhaust.

Like the others said, it comes down to how much you have budgeted. Exhaust system is generally more expensive.

Thanks guys you rock...acording to budget I decided to get a CAI first then work on the exhaust. Eventually I would love to get forced induction!!

Thanks again for all the replies.
