Alternator choices

Hello,

I have a 99 Acura tl and i need to replace my alternator, I would like to know whats the best option for buying a alternator? advance auto, napa, autozone or from a salvage yard? Would a alternator from a 2000 to 2003 work for my 99 Tl? Thank you.

AFAIK the 00-03 are fully compatible with the odyssey 130A option.
But I dunno about the 99?

The 99-03 TL should all be compatible with each other. The Type S has more amps as does the Odyssey.

That´s nice to know.. I said the Odyssey first because they are more common and have 10amps more than the TL-S, The MDX and Pilot also has the 130A Alternator.
