Almost fixed it
Almost fixed it
Ok so if you've followed my debacle of my DIY fixing of my car, you may be surprised it know I some how got it fixed!
I replaced the pressure solenoid a and b and it didn't work at first but I had stopped and had charged my phone too long and the battery died, well after I got it jump started everything was working fine!
...for a few hours and then the d5 is flashing and I only have gears 2 and 3 and they don't shift themselves.
Is this due to a wire shorting out and kills the fuse in the solenoid maybe?
ALSO, did the battery draining have anything to do with it getting fixed?
Thanks for everyone's insight and help

Could be electrical. You can check the ground points on the transmission; there is one that is connected to the thermostat, and another that is connected near the external transmission filter. Also, the plugs for the solenoids are two part: the external plug and a wire termination that seats inside sometimes that termination piece gets pushed out of the plug housing, when you are pushing it onto a solenoid or sensor; this can make it look like a good connection though it may not be, or may be loose and an inconsistent connection...kinda what you describe.
If your battery completely died, it possible it reset the computer and wiped out the stored codes. Then it took a bit of driving to detect the malfunction and put you back where you started.
Is your CEL on? Are you getting the same codes as before?
